Why do I need to know about the history of Pigtails & Crewcuts?
We feel it’s important for everyone to know how we got started and why we exist.
Is the Social Media Sharing Policy a system-wide policy?
Yes, the policy is in place to help ensure our brand is represented consistently and to make it easy for you to share what we are doing in our salons without infringing upon the Pigtails & Crewcuts copyright or misrepresenting the brand.
NOTE: Some locations have additional policies or best practices in place when it comes to social media. If you have questions about your location, please speak with your salon owner or manager.
I lost my password. How do I reset it?
Click on “Lost your password?” below the blue Log In button on the homepage. You will be provided with instructions to reset your password.
What does prerequisite mean?
A prerequisite means there is a lesson you must complete before moving along to the next one in the course. Using prerequisites helps ensure you complete each lesson in a course and have the baseline knowledge in place, as some lessons will continue to build on previous topics as you progress through the content.
What happens if I don't pass a quiz?
The quizzes included are tools to help make sure you are paying attention and retaining knowledge. If you are struggling with a particular topic, ask for help from a fellow stylist, your manager or salon owner.
What happens once I complete all the courses?
We plan to add new lessons to this site on a quarterly basis, so the learning is never truly done. Announcements will be made as new content becomes available.
Do all salons follow the same cleaning and sanitation best practices?
Each state’s cosmetology board may have different requirements in regard to cleaning and sanitation. On this site we cover general best practices. Talk to your salon owner or manager if you have questions about what your state cosmetology board requires.
